On May 13, 2009, 220 leaders ofthe Greater Philadelphia international business and maritime communities gathered at the Union League in Philadelphia to celebrate World Trade Centers Day. During this celebration, the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia honored Holt Logistics Corp as its 2009 New Jersey Business Member of the Year Award. Holt was honored for all their efforts incontributing to regional economical growth through international business.
Among the HLT teamthat attended were Thomas J. Holt, Sr., Thomas J. Holt, Jr., Leo A. Holt, Mike Holt, Thomas J. Holt, III and Eric T. Holt in addition to Holt senior executives. Leo Holt accepted the award on behalf of the company as well as the family. During his remarks he focused on the family character of their business and the broader transportation family in the Port that touches the lives of all inhabitants of the region daily.
"In order to grow in the future, the Philadelphia region must continue its focus on improvement of its infrastructure and education of its people as to the their unique role in world commerce," Leo Holt said. Holt Logistics Corp. thanked its customers and employees for their support and hard work that is the only reason for such an award.
